Stella Ruze opened the day at XPN Fest on Saturday, September 18. As The Key’s John Vettese put it, the band “took full advantage” of the opening slot and “got the audience’s attention in a big way.” Check out the full coverage (and listen to the set) here!

The Philadelphia regional seven-piece mixes up folky modern rock with reverent takes on New Orleans sounds and jam scene energy; the back-to-back punch of the opening “Open” followed by the Bourbon Street style fanfare of “The Trollop and the Tippler” got the audience’s attention in a big way.

XPoNential Music Festival lineup – 2021

We kick off the day with a noon set at XPN Fest in Camden, NJ. Tickets and livestream available at xpnfest.org. It’s a huge honor to be sharing the bill with major acts like Tedeschi Trucks and Los Lobos along with our Philly friends, like Great Time and Arthur Thomas & The Funkitorium.

“Travel Song” was the WXPN Local Pick of the Day on Sept 15!

Then we’re shipping up to the Poconos to play Midnight Mountain Music Show at Peaceful Woodlands Camp Ground. This is a weekend-long festival hosted by Mason Porter and featuring even more of our favorite Philly artists, like Emily Drinker & Andrea Nardello. For tickets and more information, click here.

This will mark the second time Stella Ruze has performed at Midnight Mountain; returning after playing the festival in 2019

We hope to see you out and about!

Philly Music Fest 2021 Lineup

We’ll be opening for the amazing soul-rock singer Son Little as part of Philly Music Fest! Our segment of the festival will be held at Milkboy on October 8, 2021.

We cannot wait to start playing in front of live audiences again. It’s a special connection that we’ve missed dearly over the last year.

With that said, we could not be prouder to be involved with the Philly Music Festival (PMF), which focuses on independent venues and contributing to the Philly music scene. Last year, the festival raised $50,000 for local music education charities, like Girls Rock Philly, and it intends to raise even more this year.

The 5th Annual PMF is packed with fantastic Philly artists, including The Menzingers, Alex G, Hop Along, Queen of Jeans, Moor Mother, Ivy Sole, Spirit of the Beehive, Moses Mosima, Kelsey Cork and the Swigs, and The West Philadelphia Orchestra.

Shows will take place from October 6 – 10 at Milkboy, Johnny Brenda’s, World Cafe Live, REC Philly, and Ardmore Music Hall.

Tickets are available here. We hope to see ya there! 🖤
